In this book, David gives his spiritual insight into the inner meanings of the 114 sayings of Jesus as written down by Didymos Judas Thomas. The information he presents is remarkably clear and easy to understand. He reveals how Jesus was explaining to his disciples the inner path that leads to full enlightenment. Instead of focusing our efforts on the world or on controlling others in order to gain meaning and satisfaction, Jesus shows us that the road to true happiness comes through the gradual process of self-discovery and eliminating everything that prevents us from experiencing the full presence of God. The exercises David presents at the end of the book give us a useful path into attaining gnosis - knowledge, wisdom, and insight that comes from the direct experience of God, as well as transforming our emotions from fear- and pride-based to love-based. As David says in his book (the bottom of pg. 56), 'Living in the presence of God is the single most powerful and transforming experience in life. You cannot go through that experience and not become a beautiful person within.'
